DINING HALL MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING

DINING HALL

New Dining Hall - Completed February 2024

The Girls Orphanage had a dining area with the capacity of 20.  Now that the orphanage is at full capacity of 40 girls, we have raised funds to complete a separate building just next to the Girls Home which has capacity for 100.  This will free up the current dining space to be converted to space for 10 more girls.  We are grateful to the generous supporters in Colorado who have contributed over 20,000 USD to build and furnish this new dining hall.  This building was completed and officially dedicated in February 2024.  The building is used for dining, education and other activities for both the girls and boys orphanages.

WATER TREATMENT FACILITY

Water Treatment Facility - Completed August 2022

March of 2021, Bangladesh experienced a severe drought that created an urgent water crisis in this region. The small rain-fed ponds that typically provide water for drinking and cooking dried up completely. While this area normally receives sufficient rainfall between July and September to sustain these ponds, the lack of rain left families with no choice but to rely on costly bottled water.  Alternative water sources presented serious challenges. Transporting water from distant rivers required significant expense and infrastructure, while groundwater testing revealed unsafe levels of trace metals, including iron and arsenic, as well as high salinity—making it unfit for consumption. In response to these conditions, the Water Treatment Facility Project was launched to provide a sustainable, safe water solution for the orphanages and nearby community.

Project Completion

We are deeply grateful to share that the full $12,000 USD needed for this project was successfully raised, and construction of both the facility housing and the treatment system has been completed. This milestone represents the generosity, compassion, and partnership of many who believe in improving lives through access to clean water.

A Colorado mission team was among the first to visit the completed site and offer prayers of dedication and blessing. We are thankful for God’s provision throughout this effort and pray this facility will be a lasting blessing to the ministry campus and surrounding community.

The water treatment facility has been installed at the Girls’ Orphanage, where it will provide reliable access to clean, fresh water. Water will also be shared with the Boys’ Orphanage and the broader ministry campus. In addition, excess purified water will be bottled and made available to nearby villages, creating both a health benefit for the community and a sustainable source of income to support the ministry’s ongoing work.

This project stands as a powerful example of what can be accomplished through faith, generosity, and a shared commitment to serving others.
